Tharsis is an expansive region located on Mars, separated into at least 7 distinct sectors. Despite, one of them not being marked.
History[]
The Red Faction series except Red Faction 2 takes place on Mars. Red Faction: Guerilla was and is the first and only game to give the player complete freedom to explore the entire area.
The region also briefly appeared in Red Faction: Armageddon as it is completely rendered uninhabitable by the Cultist War. The only sector to appear is Dust, while the rest of it is currently unknown.

- Tharsis is a real location on Mars, located West of Valles Marineris, which also has an in-game version of itself in the Demons of the Badlands DLC.
