Red Faction is a gaming franchise which primarily focuses on Mars, with the occassional spotlight for Earth. The key element has been destruction since the beginning, which came to fruition through the use of the GeoMod engine. Rebellion against dictatorships plays a big part in the series too, as Ultor, Sopot and the EDF all display signs of a typical dictatorship, whose rule is filled with corruption and dark secrets.
