The Raid on the Badlands Safehouse was an engagement towards the end of the Second Red Faction Uprising which crippled the Red Faction and significantly turned the tide in favor of the Earth Defense Force to such a degree that General Bertram Roth claimed 'total victory' over the insurgency.
The Red Faction had been readying to push on the EDF Central Command and force their enemy from their capital sector of Eos, ending the Battle for Eos and possibly the entire conflict. When the EDF struck the Badlands safehouse it was in overwhelming numbers and with devastating surpise. EDF Bombers flew overhead dropping a carpet of bombs. Many key members of the movement perished in the fighting including their commander, Hugo Davies, aswell as Jon Kepler and Carmen Avila
The action might well have ended in Roth's total victory if it hadn't been for Samanya's ties with the Marauders.
